What we Believe

The Bible. Our final authority.

The Bible

We believe the Bible is the Word of God and that God’s will, purpose and plan for our lives in this world and the world to come are contained in the Holy Scriptures.  The integrity of the Word of God is beyond reproach.

Psalm 119: 89, 2 Timothy 3:15-17, John 17: 17, Hebrews 4: 12

Jesus

We believe Jesus is the Son of God and that He was sent to die for the remission of our sins and was resurrected again by the power of the Holy Ghost. Therefore, we teach that Adam’s sin caused mankind to be lost and separated from God, and through His grace, He sent His Son Jesus to pay for Adam’s sin thereby establishing a way for mankind to get back to God.

Genesis 3, Isaiah 7: 14; 53, Matthew 1: 20-21, John 3:16-17, Hebrew 9:11-17

Salvation

We believe The only way for a person to have a relationship with God and be saved is to accept the Lord, Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour. We believe that if a person confesses with his mouth the Lord Jesus and believes in his heart that God has raised Jesus from the dead, they shall be saved.

John 3: 16, John 14: 6, Romans 10: 9-13, Ephesians 2: 8-10

The Holy Spirit

We believe The Holy Spirit is the third person in the Godhead, and that He is operative in the earth today. We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit and all the manifestations of His gifts including speaking in tongues. We believe that when the Holy Ghost comes upon you, you are empowered to do great exploits in Jesus’ name.

Mark 16: 15-16, Acts 1: 5-8, 1 Corinthians 12: 1-11

The Trinity

We believe God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit are One.  They are a triune Being and are referred to as the Trinity.

Isaiah 61: 1, Matthew 28: 19, Luke 1: 35, John 14: 16, 1 Corinthians 8: 6

The Church

We believe the church is the body of Christ, of which Jesus is the head. The members of the church are those who have trusted by faith the finished work of Christ. The purpose of the church is to glorify God and make Him known by declaring His love to the world.

Matthew 16: 18-19, Acts 2: 42-47, Ephesians 1: 22-23, Colossians 3: 15
